As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama deliberately and repeatedly lied to America's 90 million gun owners across the country when he insisted that he would not try to take away anyone's firearms, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said.
Now House Republicans are trying to add an amendment to the public lands "Ominous Spending" lands bill that would codify the right to carry concealed weapons in national parks, less than a week after a federal judge blocked a similar proposal.
But, Senate leaders have devised a strategy to use a bill that had already passed the House -- H.R. 146, a proposal to protect Revolutionary War battlefields -- and strip its contents, replacing it with the "Ominous Spending" lands bill. Because the House already passed H.R. 146, the Rules Committee can approve a closed rule that would block a motion to recommit, eliminating the GOP's best procedural chance to stymie the bill. The chamber would only need a simple majority vote to concur with the Senate amendment.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly placed an injunction on the Interior rule last week. The judge's ruling infringed on the rights of gun owners as drivers in areas such as Washington, D.C., often drive through federal park lands every day.
Rob Bishop (R-Utah) said "It's ridiculous for people to be subject to two different sets of regulations simply because their car moved a few feet," Bishop said in a statement. "The judge's decision last week was wrong."
"We warned America that Obama's 'support' for the Second Amendment was empty rhetoric," he stated, "and now his support for the "Ominous Spending" lands bill shows Obama was lying, and now gun rights may be dying."
"Right now," said Gottlieb, "I wouldn't take Obama's word if he said it rains a lot in Seattle. Apparently, law-abiding gun owners have nothing to fear unless they drive to work in Washington DC and park or drive in the wrong place."

"Secondary" or "Indirect" Affiliates of the George Soros Network
I'm part of a group on Facebook called "Expose Soros". I'll be sharing stuff with you at times on Soros and other issues. Talk about conspiracies and money control. It has long been one of my beliefs that people "see" problems in others or create problems because it's the way they act in life, the way they handle things. I'm not saying that very well. As an example, if I were the kind of person who cut deals, used my friends, lusted after power, then I would automatically "assume" that others cut deals, used friends and lusted after power. Any actions they took would be seen through the prism of my belief system, the way that I would handle a situation. Thus, even though the other person may truly be acting for good reasons with high moral motivation, I'm never going to believe it. I'm going to think the worst of them.
In the case of Democrats and / or libs, they attribute all kinds of nasty motivation and goals to conservatives and Republicans simply because that's the way they operate. However, because they believe themselves to be acting in the best interest of the world (or their cause), they justify their actions while slamming those of Republicans / conservatives.
Soros is a prime example. He does everything that he accuses those big bad Republicans of doing, but it's OK, cause he "cares".
I once knew a guy who ran for local office to rid the County Commission of special interest voting. He hated it that they were voting on land deals for their friends. However, when his Kiwanis group wanted him to change the laws so they could put up a tower in a residential area, he was all for it. He didn't see that if it had been a nasty developer wanting to do it, or if it had been another Commissioner proposing it for his friends, that he'd have been up in arms. He did things for his "good" friends all the time, but it was different somehow because they were "his" friends.

Air America Radio: Funded by Democracy Alliance, which is heavily bankrolled by Soros, this radio station was created to advance the cause of the Democratic Party and the political Left.
Catalist: Headed by Soros ally Harold Ickes, this political consultancy seeks "to help progressive organizations realize measurable increases in civic participation and electoral success by building and operating a robust national voter database of every voting-age American." Toward this end, it helps leftist organizations conduct more effective get-out-the-vote drives and targeted political advertising.
Center for Progressive Leadership: Funded by the Soros-bankrolled Democracy Alliance, this anti-capitalist organization is dedicated to training future leftist political leaders.
Media Matters for America: Seeking to "systematically monitor [the media] for conservative misinformation" and to discredit anything that "forwards the conservative agenda," this group, which has intimate ties to Hillary Clinton, works very closely with the Soros-backed Center for American Progress. It is heavily funded by Democracy Alliance, of which Soros is a major financier.
Moving Ideas Network: This coalition of more than 250 leftwing activist groups is a partner organization of the Soros-backed Center for American Progress. Promoting the candidacy of leftwing politicians, the Moving Ideas Network was originally a project of the Soros-backed American Prospect and, as such, received indirect funding from the Open Society Institute. In early 2006, The American Prospect relinquished control of the Moving Ideas Network
New Organizing Institute: Created by the Soros-funded MoveOn.org, this group "trains young, technology-enabled political organizers to work for progressive campaigns and organizations."
Schumann Center for Media and Democracy: PBS broadcaster and Schumann Center President Bill Moyers is a trustee of the Open Society Institute's Board of Directors. The Schumann Center shares many of OSI's agendas.
Service Employees International Union: The current President of SEIU is the former New Leftist Andrew Stern, who sat on the Executive Committee of the Soros-created America Coming Together.
Sierra Club: This organization's Executive Director, Carl Pope, co founded America Coming Together, in whose creation Soros played a major role.
Think Progress: This "project" of the American Progress Action Fund, which is a "sister advocacy organization" of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress and Campus Progress, seeks to transform "progressive ideas into policy through rapid response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing and advocacy, and partnerships with other progressive leaders throughout the country and the world." Think Progress promotes an agenda identical to that of the left wing of the Democratic Party.
Vote for Change: Coordinated by the political action committee of the Soros-funded MoveOn.org, Vote for Change was a group of 41 musicians and bands that performed concerts in several key election "battleground" states during October 2004, to raise money in support of Democrat John Kerry's presidential bid.
Working Families Party: Created in 1998 to help push the Democratic Party toward the left, this front group for the Soros-funded ACORN functions as a political party that promotes ACORN-friendly candidates.
